BLACK New Album ABAR.................

Posted by banglarocks

one of the top rock bands of bangladesh Black released its new album titled 'Abar' in cooperation with Warid Telecom at a press conference at Level-7 of Bashundhara City in the capital on July 10. The conference was jointly organised by Warid Telecom and G-Series, country's one of the leading music companies. Warid Telecom, the sixth mobile phone operator in Bangladesh, has sponsored the third album of Black as part of its commitment to promote quality music through nurturing talents in the music arena. The rock band launched the album after a break of five years. Zeeshan K Huq, Senior Manager (Marketing) of Warid Telecom, unveiled the latest album of the band at the conference. Nazmul Huq Bhuiyan, Proprietor of G-Series, Asif Ahmed, Marketing Services Manager of Warid Telecom, Jon Kabir, lead vocal of Black, Saidus Salehin Khaled (Sumon), vocal of Aurthohin band, among others, were present on the occasion. Black launched its first album in 2001 titled 'Amar Prithibi' and second album titled 'Uthshober Por' in 2002 with the hit song Proshnobodhok Chinno. Zeeshan said, "Under the sponsorship deal, every Warid customer will get Black's latest album free of cost if he or she buys a Zem prepaid connection. This offer will be available at all Warid franchise and business centres across the country from July 10. On top of this, ABAR's songs would be available exclusively on Warid as 'Caller Tunes' for a certain period." "We have a keen interest in supporting local talents in music industry as we intend to help foster creativity and talent in the sector," he said. Warid is not only a mobile service provider but also much more than that; it is closely associated with music and adopted it as one of the brand pillars of Zem prepaid, said Zeeshan

Genre: Alternative Rock

Description: Black, is the leading band of this generation and was one of the very 1st to come out from the Underground Scene. The talented Band has gained massive popularity over the years with their newage alternative rock compositions.

Line up: Jon - Vocals & Bass

Jahan - Guitars

Miraz - Bass

Tony - Drums

A strum of the guitar, a beat on the drums - a hobby; a window of expression - a distant dream of 4 talented teenagers. A tiny reflection of sunshine on a dewdrop - Dope Smugluzz voiced itself in Tony’s small garage – the only free space available for the boys to get away from the humdrum of daily life and live their dreams. Four imaginations ran wild as they played hard metal – but it was just imagination not reality. Tony on the drums, Spondon with the bass, Asif with his guitar and Jon as the vocal were Dope Smugluzz - the overshadowed and unknown stepping stone to Black. As the clock ticks, dreams change and so do priorities. Spondon and Asif were sucked in by the tides of education and as their leisure diminished, so did their presence at the small garage. Unwittingly, the two members of Dope Smugluzz had to be replaced and the door opened for Jahan, the unwilling guitarist and Miraz the ever cool bassist – the existing line up of what we know today as Black! But late 2000 and early 2001, none of these individuals could ever have imagined the path that had been carved for them in the years ahead – as Black. Talent they say is more a gift of God than the nurture of tutors and practice. None of 4 members of the band ever had any form of formal training – their aptitudes were like a gift of Fate waiting to be tapped and released. The window (opportunity) - Black! Every road has its speed-breakers and muddy potholes and so did Black. Their practice pad at Aziz Supermarket burnt down along with their instruments purchased with their meager resources. Disheartened but passionate, Black ‘rose from the ashes’ and continued their expressions in the then mushrooming, hired practice pads. Their second step to acceptance came with their unknown yet popular underground performances for the young crowds of Dhaka – crowds looking for a different thought; a different voice; a different tune and a different expression. Black began to distantly shine as Venus in the sky. Black’s acceptance was immediate. For those present at Black’s first successful and mass concert at the Engineering Institute will recall the music and fervor with which Black mesmerized the crowd. In 2001, Black included a fifth member – Tahsan the keyboardist. By mid 2001 Black not only became a popular name in the underground scene but had also begun performing widely in all concerts. They became the pioneer alternative band in the music scene of Bangladesh and their first composed song was “Blues and Rowd” – an instant success. The song brought them to the highlight of music gurus like Azam Khan, Ayub Bachhu (LRB) and Mr Khaled (owner of G-series, record label). Encouraged by Khaled bhai, Black hit the studio to record their first album – “Amar Prithibi” – the turning point of their lives. "Amar Prithibi" was released on the 25th of November 2002 and thus their journey to sky commenced. "Amar Prithibi" was simply a soulful expression of its band members and it captured the heart of innumerable people from all walks of life. As Jon says "We create for ourselves but it is our fans who inspire us to give it our best shot....." At the end of 2003, "Utshober Por.." was released which showed that Black will never step back from putting it's dreams into reality. "Utshober Por.." was one of the most controversial album where the band tried to give their fans different tastes of music by experimenting alot and proved that the music comes out from the inside as the term "Music", not for the sake of doing it. 20 april, 2005 Was a Really Black Day for Black, When Their Bassist Miraj got Injured by an Horrible Road accident .. After that, he couldn't play any more but he is a life time member of black. Now, Jon Is Playing bass. If Black was Earth, Imon bhai, Insan bhai and Durey bhai were the sun and moon offering them direction and guidance and teaching them the meaning of being musicians. Lyrics, one of Black’s most distinctive aspects, were written by Imon bhai. The lyrics are very different from the usual lyrics of love and lost love and covered a range of different issues and depth. Insan bhai – the talented photographer who taught these young musicians to be at ease in front of the camera and Durey bhai the sound engineer for Amar Prithibi who opened the world of technology to Black.
